DAV Model School, KTPS, was established in the year – 2006 with an agreement between Kothagudem Thermal Power Station, Paloncha i.e. T.S. Genco and D.A.V. College Managing Committee to impart the best quality of education to the wards of K.T.P.S employees and their dependents. It is located 300 kms from Hyderabad the capital of Telangana State.

The School has over 2,200 students studying from LKG to X class. It has 80 Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff.

The school is considered to be one of the best schools in the town of Paloncha. The school has two impressive floors with 65 classrooms, a Library, Labs etc.
